Vancouver Island’s em.ash connects deep grooves, hypnotic textures, and rhythmic bass with an instinct for the dancefloor. Moving through underground house and low-slung techno, his sound balances emotional depth with a steady physical pulse. His extended sets give the music room to breathe, building momentum through patient selections, subtle shifts, and unexpected connections.

For more than two decades, em.ash has helped shape the island’s underground music community as a DJ, producer, and event organizer. He has supported artists including Justin Martin, Andre Kronert, Fort Knox Five, Felix Cartal, Max Ulis, Rennie Foster, JPOD, Slynk, Sabota, Humans, Righteous Rainbows of Togetherness, and Rousz, alongside many of the region’s local favourites.

His performance history spans Otherworld, WoodStove Festival, Lamplight Gathering, Diversity, Cumberland Wild, and Atmosphere Gathering, as well as countless intimate gatherings across British Columbia. Whether playing a festival stage or an intimate dancefloor, he brings the same care to the experience: thoughtful programming, a feel for the room, and a commitment to connection through music.
